Spalted Pecan and Rosewood Dining Room Table
Designed and built by Jerry Carr. The table is made up of two woods, pecan and rosewood.
The pecan tree came from Lake Panasoffkee FL area. The tree looked to be the largest burl I’ve ever seen. It really was just a swollen area but produced a great look. The wood actually is spalted and is very cool looking.
The Rosewood was cut in Central Florida. This tree is actually on the exotic invasive species in Florida. This makes a wonderful contrast to the pecan. The design is just something I had in my head. It is finished with 9 coats of general finishes urathane. The table measures 7′ by 4′. Thanks for looking.
